Thank you for the input. Mom had one at hospital but didn't want to pee into it. She's now in AL with my Dad and doesn't like to pee into Depends at night but they don't come quickly to room if she has to pee. My sister thought maybe it was a solution but I read the product info and realized first of all I doubt the AL will agree to it, their aides aren't trained on using it, and it requires a lot of cleaning and disinfecting and emptying. Basically...forget it. Mom has UTI starting up plus a rash now from wearing the dang Depends all the time. Mom never had to wear Depends until now but had a stroke and isn't the same. Dad hadn't had a UTI for a long time but we had dedicated caretakers at home who showered him daily and cleaned him up. Now it is totally different. I wish we could have them still be at home but they need 24/7 care now and I can't deal with caretakers cancelling, having to take care of them overnight or for 12 hours a day. There are no good options for people in their 90s with all these issues.

Purewick really, in my humble opinion as someone who only saw the system "tried" for two people, requires someone who is quite "with it". And really requires the ability for certain positioning in bed.

This system is a temporary fix in my opinion. And that's perhaps why we constantly see people trying to sell them on the Forum. One friend of mine who required putting on two braces every time she got up out of bed at night for the bathroom, had hip surgery. She used the system nights so it wasn't so awful getting up out of bed when she had to go.
The second time I saw it used was with someone dying, restless, and it was disasterous. It really requires a lot in terms of being sort of in one place, more or less on your back for the most part. It was absolutely useless.

I would hope someone here on Forum has more experience and may have actually used it.
