How much will it cost out of pocket if we move together to the facility?

My parents lived together in the same apartment in Assisted Living back in 2015. At that time, mom had dementia and dad did not, but he had bad mobility issues. The terms of service were that there was a rate for the apartment and dad, and an extra fee of $750 per month for mom to live there too. This was 10 years ago, so I'm sure that extra person rate is significantly higher now, but that was the formula then. Their rent was $4,700 per month and $750 extra for mom.

Good luck to you.

Your answers lie within the facility itself;
we would not be familiar with the facility in your area.
Your moving in may be allowed, but it would likely be a move in which you are a resident, and perhaps a costly one.

Call the administration and make an appointment to talk about options.
Wishing you good luck.

Assisted living costs are different depending on location. You can get a first impression of costs for your area at https://www.carescout.com/cost-of-care

Adding a second person to a room costs less than a separate room but will be substantial since it includes food, utilities, housekeeping, etc.

Have your husband’s needs been assessed? If wandering is a concern, he may need memory care rather than assisted living.
